Having lived and vacationed on the river all their lives, the home became a passion project of sorts, allowing an in-depth understanding of the ebb and flow of the natural resource to guide how the owners wanted to engage with it. Throughout, all joinery and furniture have been built into the architecture, to both facilitate free-flowing movement, and to anchor the support amenity in place. With space a key asset, moveable additions like stools and tables can then be further hidden or stored off of the floor area, allowing a flexibility in the resulting functionality. By reglazing the skin, the floating space combines the conveniences of urban life, with a sustainable comfort and passivity, while also ensuring a textural depth through the select materiality.
