Sitting on 100 acres in Kangarilla, Coach House is a heritage sandstone building Fabrikate transformed into high-end boutique accommodation – a luxuriously comfortable retreat for guests to relax in and enjoy.

A dreamy palette of blues and greens sits gently against the landscape of rolling hills, while rich deep tones are a contemporary nod to the heritage of the house.

The soft-sky-coloured joinery of the kitchen provides a relaxed and subtle backdrop that wraps around the central dining table engaging guests to cook and entertain. Appliances are cleverly integrated, including a laundry in the cupboard opposite.

Within the open plan of the kitchen we created a bench seat and framed window which provides the perfect spot to unwind and take in the Tuscan-like views. The addition of a solid timber deck connects the kitchen and dining to the outdoors and provides alfresco dining and an outlook across the stunning Adelaide Hills.

The Deep jungle green gives depth and personality to the living room, where elegant, sophisticated seating and leather chairs are directed to take in the views through the French doors that frame the terrace outside.

Upstairs, we stole space from what was the second bedroom to create an expansive Japanese-inspired bathroom retreat where guests can have a heightened bathing experience with great care taken in the finishes and selections. A soak in the step-up bath is a must do at the Coach house.

The use of subtle two-tone paint on the bedroom and sitting room walls offers a contemporary panelled effect, and all the finer details – soft carpet and luxury mattress and linen – have been considered. Guests can indulge in peace and comfort the moment they walk into their retreat at the Coach house on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
